On October 10, St. Paul in Napoleon invited Henry County First Responders to a special worship, where they would be recognized for their faithfulness in caring for and responding to our emergencies, the sacrifices they make on our behalf everyday, and to be prayed for and with.
Over 30 first responders from Henry County Police, Fire and Rescue, and the Sheriff's department showed up, many with their vehicles.
As the bagpipes played America, they processed into the sactuary for worship.
During the service, three emergency calls came, reminding the congregation of just how unpredictable the work of our first responders is.
Following the service, we had an old fashioned potluck, for our honored guests and their families.
And, firefighters passed out hats to the children.
This was a wonderful service, and plans are already underway for next year.
