2008 Gleaning Squash

2008 Gleaning Squash

OH MY!! A BIG THANK YOU to all those Gleaners that came out last Saturday to glean squash. Want to know what you did?

Those 7 boxes of squash weighed a total of 11,821 pounds. This was made possible with the help of The Polter Farm’s workers.

Let’s see if we can out do ourselves with more APPLES!

WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANTS!

WOW!! A BIG THANK YOU to all those Gleaners which cam out last Saturday to glean apples.

Want to know what you did? Those 12 totes and the 15 bushels Bob Joseph took back to Napoleon

amounted to 11,472 pounds which went to Seagate Food Bank to be distributed throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

May we do as well with the squash!

Gleaning Melons at Edon UMC

Gleaning Melons at Edon UMC

Well...Saturday was a beautiful day for gleaning watermelons. We had at least 50 volunteers and maybe a few more as I lost tract of those entering the field. We gleaned 25,766 pounds of watermelons which weighed 7-8 pounds each. Check out the rest of the pictures on the web site. The picture with the group is from BGSU.

The little guy, in the picture, celebrated his third birthday on Sunday. Never too young to learn.
