Hope Whitehouse UMC

Children’s Ministry Developer (part-time)

Because kids (and their parents) don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care, Hope UMC is looking for someone who will show kids they care by going where kids are, meeting them as they are, and believing in who they can be. Within ministry with children and youth we call the persistent going out into the world of kids "contact work," but kids just call it friendship.
Work with our Child Care Director and staff to meet children and their parents when they are on our church campus.
Work with Cub Scout Pack 97 to meet scouts and their parents when they are on our church campus.
Attend events off campus where our church families are involved: soccer, baseball, softball, recitals, etc.
Help start and lead All Pro Dads clubs at Whitehouse, Monclova, and Waterville Primary Schools.
Increase presence in community by participating in Whitehouse area events, like downtown trick-or-treat, and Cherry Fest.
Follow-up with and re-engage inactive families.
Plan and lead informational gatherings for parents.
Lead NextGEN Team in planning and implementing meaningful, Christ-centered age appropriate study and fun for kids on Sunday morning.
