Contemporary Worship Leader Maumee United Methodist Church
The Contemporary Worship Leader is a coordinator position that oversees the Contemporary Worship Service. This person will recruit, equip, and empower contemporary worship ministry leaders and teams and collaboratively implement the church’s mission/values/vision/strategy. Overall objectives include connecting and building relationships with families and individuals who participate in our contemporary worship service, both in person and online; developing and guiding the band that leads worship; and collaboratively plan and implement weekly worship experiences that engage those who participate in it.
Current Areas of Responsibilities
The current areas of responsibilities include Recruiting instrumentalists and vocalists to lead worship in the Fountain of Truth Band; Work with the worship planning team to plan and implement meaningful and engaging contemporary worship experiences each week; Providing leadership for the Fountain of Truth Band; and be the primary worship leader for the weekly contemporary worship experience.

Resources and Learning Levels:
Knowledge of the resources and trends in Contemporary worship; Skilled in leading worship that will include a variety of people; knowledge of and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
Approachable spirit and personality that facilitates effective and cordial relationships with all generations; able to build morale in musicians and teams in order to achieve goals and objectives; affirms the accomplishments and enriches emotional well-being of others; conducts oneself with full integrity, honesty, maturity and confidentiality; pursues resolution to conflicts.
Written and Verbal Communication
Effectively conveys and promotes information to members of the congregation and the community; clearly articulates ministry objectives; creatively promotes ministry opportunities in different formats and on different platforms; receives and offers feedback to ministry leaders and church leadership.

Reports to Lead Pastor and Staff Parish Relations Committee
Time Commitment - 20 hours per week
Previous Experience preferred but not required
