Director of Technology Maumee United Methodist Church
The Director of Technology is a position that oversees the technology and online ministries of MUMC. This person will recruit, equip, and empower ministry leaders and teams and collaboratively implement the church’s mission/values/vision/strategy. Overall objectives include implementing a technology strategy that will support the ministries of MUMC; recruiting and supervising a team of volunteers that will run the sound, lighting, worship presentation software, and streaming worship services each week; trouble shoot IT issues in all areas of the church; and develop a cohesive strategy for the church’s information systems (ie membership software, scheduling, communication software, networking, etc)
Current Areas of Responsibilities
The current areas of responsibilities include recruiting and training volunteers for Sunday morning worship to cover the sound, streaming, lighting, and worship presentation software; developing and implementing a strategy to care for the IT needs for the different ministries of MUMC; evaluating and developing the needed technology that will support the mission, vision, and values of MUMC; build the Sunday presentations for each of our worship services currently using Media Shout worship presentation soft-ware.

Knowledge of the resources and current available technology that would meet the church’s current and future needs to meet our mission, vision, and values. There would also need to be a knowledge of both software and hardware issues and resources.

Reports to Lead Pastor and Staff Parish Relations Committee
Time Commitment – 10-15 hours per week
Previous Experience preferred but not required
